Winterhaven Beachfront Hotel, one of the tallest structures on Ocean Drive, featuring the tasty Italian restaurant
This Art Deco building built in 1939 is one of the tallest structures on Ocean Drive. The hotel has been beautifully renovated to retain its original charm: Art Deco mosaic on the lobby floor, wooden furniture, vintage wallpaper in the 71 rooms... It is also perfectly located, not far from the lively Española Way and its many restaurants, but you can also opt for Il Bolognese, the hotel's tasty Italian restaurant. There's no pool, but after all, what's the big deal when the beach is right across the street?

Would give it 3.5
Solo traveler and I felt safe
Pros:
Staff was phenomenal. Cant compliment them enough.
Location is steps from the beach.
Some beach amenities like towels, water, etc are provided.
Rooms are cleans
Cons:
WiFi was terrible. Would not recommend for a work vacation.
The elevator does not require a key to use. Assuming it’s closely monitored by staff but I usually appreciate the extra security level.
No pool or gym on property.
Coffee was not restocked everyday.
TLDR: solid stay on the beach, but not up to marriot standards.

Awful service. Waiting over 2 hours to get the room .Rooms are very small and nothing modern about it. Not worth the money at all.

Being a flagged hotel (Marriott) charging $400 a night, there is no excuse for the rooms to not have streaming / Netflix / YouTube / etc…. Ownership should be embarrassed.
Also, bathrooms in disrepair… location isn’t bad but hotel is in desperate need of a PIP.

Loved it here for the spring break. Very convenient location. Close to the beach, shops, waljs, restaurants and everything. Their service and hospitality are great. Room can be small not luxurious but they come change towels, untuck the bed, do little fixings by adding little charms. Recommended for Spring break. Thank you. We had a great stay.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! We were promptly greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm that it lifted our spirits - it had been uncharacteristically rainy. My mate was handed champagne and she said it was divine.
The room had a gorgeous nod to art deco, the bed was beyond cozy, the pillows are what my dreams are made of. The hot water is endless and the amenities are top notch!
The beach is a short stroll across the street and your reservation secures lounge chairs which is divine. The beach itself felt more public than we desired but honestly, it was great.
The restaurant at the base was wonderful and the servers were very sweet!
The wifi is a bit dodgy but you should be at the beach anyways ◡̈ 10/10 would go back in a moments notice!
