This aerial metro built on cement pillars is quite futuristic. It could not be underground because of the geological texture of the limestone ground, which is too thin above the water. There are two lines: the green and the orange. During your stay, the Metrorail can be convenient if you need to get to the airport, Coral Gables or Brickell. Otherwise, it runs from Palmetto (north) to Dadeland (south). It crosses the Miami River on a spectacular bridge that is lit up at night and offers a magnificent view. Count on a train every 15 minutes.

Opening time and information on METRORAIL

Ticket: US$2.25. Prefer payment by credit card. Open daily from 5 a.m. to midnight. For multiple trips during your stay, the Easy card is a good option: it costs US$2 and can be loaded with single tickets or passes. 1-day pass: US$ 5.65; 7-day pass: US$ 29.25.

Idéal pour rejoindre Miami Beach à partir de l’aéroport et pour une somme modique (environ 2,50 USD !) et rapidement et profitez en plus d’une belle vue sur la skyline pendant le trajet.

très pratique et peu cher 2 ou 3$ pour se rendre depuis l'aéroport dans Miami Dowtown ( contre une trentaine de dollars pour un taxi) par contre très peu d'information quand il y a un problème, on a attendu 45 min sur le quai avait que quelqu'un vienne nous dire que le prochain train allait arriver 15 min après alors que ce fut en réalité 30 min après!!!!!
Il y a un train toutes les 20 min normalement.
