First, the Coulée casting can be akin to a simple pierrier. Yet these billions of stones are actually a lava flow from a volcanic eruption, 6,5 million years ago. Time, glaciations and water have sculpted it gradually to split it into rocks with multiple shapes. Sometimes carved, sometimes agglomérés, the width of the casting allowed a wide variety of shapes. A 3 km hike allows you to get closer to the power of the elements.
