Behind the Piazza Colonna is the Chamber of Deputies, located in Montecitorio Palace, built by Le Bernin on behalf of Pope Innocent X. During an interruption, the architect Carlo Fontana, who was responsible for resuming the work, modified the Bernin plans by adding a campenard on the front entrance. In front of its elegant pink facade, we will look at the square to observe the Egyptian obelisk of Psammétique II, transported to Rome under Auguste.
