Founded by a Greek trader, hence its name, it is the oldest coffee in Rome and probably the most famous. All artists and intellectuals met there. Stendhal, Wagner, Goethe, Keats, Berlioz and Andersen, who lived above, frequented it. And, later, it was the emblematic coffee of the dolce vita. Today, there are more tourists than Romans there. With its purple drapes, golden mirrors, marble tables and velvety armchairs, the place has the charm of an outdated era that no one has ever known before..
