We loved our stay at the Intercontinental Rome. The hotel was recently remodeled and they did an outstanding job. Our room was large, well appointed, luxurious, quiet, and most importantly impeccably clean.The bathroom was large with outstanding water pressure. The service at the hotel was 5 star all around, and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. You'll also enjoy Charlie's Bar on the roof overlooking the Rome skyline. I've stayed at dozens of Intercontinental Hotels around the world and this one stands out as one of the best for it's design, comfort and excellent service.

2nd worst checkin experience, after Intercontinental New York. Not sure why the response below is about breakfast...?! I wrote my initial review while waiting at reception, it wasn't about breakfast. Also the hotel bothered us at breakfast and interrupted our personal conversation. Why choosing breakfast time? The hotel never addressed the unnecessary wait at check-in (the staff was just talking to someone who didn't need help or served at the time). No greeting when we walked into the reception room either. Zero apologies regarding the unnecessary wait at check-in.
