PORTO SANTO GOLFE

This well thought-out golf course, designed by the late Spanish champion Severiano Ballesteros, hosts an annual European Open for journalists in the discipline of patience. Combining challenging play with the beauty of nature, it occupies a transverse terrain in the western width of the island, from the beach with sandy dunes to the steep basalt cliffs. The golf course has an 18-hole course divided into two areas: the southern loop, dotted with lakes, and the northern loop, built on top of the cliffs. There is also a 9-hole pitch & putt course.
