This refuge, renovated and decorated with taste, is run by the same team that manages the Cais do Sardinha snack bar at the tip of São Lourenço and applies the same demanding criteria that made their reputation. Everything is prepared on the spot: sandwiches, pastries, salads and quiches. Several drinks for sale. Formula to consume on the spot or to take away. And on clear days, from the terrace, you will enjoy the superb views of the sharp peaks of the central mountain range.

Achada do Teixeira Mountain Spot Cafe is a hotel-restaurant perched on top of a mountain in the Madeira region. Its location, near the geological monument "Homem em Pé", Miradouro das Empenas, Miradouro do Pico Ruivo and Miradouro do Picarou, makes it an ideal starting point to explore the island. Its minimalist rooms offer the comfort needed for a mountain getaway. In the restaurant, local cuisine is the order of the day. Choose from pork ribs with piri-piri, chicken ramen with mushrooms, shrimp risotto or duck leg with mushrooms and quinoa.
