Prestigious company founded in 1850 and the only Madeira wine producer that operates its own vineyards. In the tasting room, where the wooden barrels in which the precious nectar rests are displayed, a very friendly team, speaking French, will inform you about the complex process of creating Madeira, with the added bonus of a free tasting: 3 years of dry, semi-dry, sweet and semi-sweet age to differentiate. The shop invites you to leave with a bottle under your arm. An oenological stop not to be missed.

Très intéressant. Personnel très serviable et informatif. Dégustation gratuite de la gamme des 3 ans d'âge. La dégustation des millésimes de 10, 15 et 20 ans d'âge coûte 9 € par personne, mais vous pouvez partager la dégustation à deux, comme nous l'avons fait car l'un d'entre nous conduisait. Cela vaut vraiment la peine. Les boutiques sont disponibles à des prix raisonnables, moins chers que les boutiques hors taxes. Parking gratuit sur le site juste à l'intérieur des portes. Visite très agréable. Merci.
