A small museum about two Madeira artists, two brothers whose work spans from 1910 to 1950. Henrique Franco has especially realized portraits full of serenity (beautiful light!). His brother Francisco, on the other hand, seems to have been more tortured. Sculptor but also painter and draughtsman, he was one of the official artists of the Salazar regime, which was not frankly inclined towards poetry; he was also the author of woodcuts and busts that owe nothing to official art.
