These cellars, built in a former Franciscan convent, are the oldest in Madeira. Home of the Madeira Wine Company which distributes the brands Blandy's (created over 200 years ago!), Leacock's, Cossart Gordon, Miles and Atlantis. You will discover an old wine press from the 17th century, old machines, utensils and an impressive stock of old bottles. Guided tour and tasting recommended. Next door, the 1811 Bistro Wine Bar offers tapas and fine wines.

certainement une adresse intéressante pour déguster du madère. Ce n'est pas donné comme prix mais on voit qu'il y a une grande étendu de gamme
