A museum-shop on Madeira's history located right in front of the cable car. Entrance is through the souvenir shop on the ground floor. Take the lift to the upper floors (through the restaurant) and reach the exhibition areas, nestled on the top floor. The museum allows you to understand the history of the island and its evolution through the ages, from its volcanic origins to the arrival of modern tourism. A fun and interesting visit, a good introduction to local history.

Dans la boutique il y a à boire et à manger, dans tous les sens du terme, par exemple les bonbons au fenouil n'en contiennent pas un gramme mais des extraits d'anis, mieux vaut les acheter à Fabrica San Antonio ou à l'aéroport de Lisbonne (sic...), certains articles sont chers, mais par contre il y a beaucoup de choix .
Le musée est intéressant .
