Housed in a magnificent 17th century fortress. What a character and what a stamp! It is the successful meeting of history, architecture and gastronomy. The menu shows a certain know-how in the gastronomic trend, well worked and nicely presented: a duo of foie gras flavoured with Madeira wine, duck breast drizzled with citrus fruit sauce, mille-feuille with mascarpone and wild berries... Regional and Portuguese wine list to match. Upon reservation, a driver will pick you up in a classic car. Don't forget to book!

Entre l’arrivée au restaurant avant l’heure de réservation, il nous fallu attendre 1 heure avan la commande. Nous avons préféré ne pas prendre de dessert pour ne pas rentrer trop tard, la qualité des plats n’a rien d’extraordinaire et nous a apparu prétentieux: alors que nous sommes à proximité du marché aux poissons il pourrait y avoir pour le prix des poids plus noble. We N planes not reserved fortunately it remains a table. Do is a stylish restaurant where everyone is on its 31 but not panic J stays equipped of jean and sports jacket and we have been very well received... All was bath, we have been eating good things, but different wine with each main course, dessert was a slaughter and always when it was necessary and small treatment. We were at the end of December 2012, it remains the best restaurant we made in Madeira and good price (€39 per person for pictures in gulf, starter, main course, dessert and glasses of wine or water) I recommend it has any price!
