Another one that doesn't really look good on the outside, not better on the inside, just a small long canteen with jacquard tablecloths, under neon lights and mirrors hung on the walls, caught between two cathode ray tubes... But the kitchen, ah, the kitchen... Very pleasant, she denies all those a-priori! In a busy street with many economic signs, this restaurant is always full of local customers, which is always a good sign. On the menu, lots of fish (espada...), shellfish (clams, limpets), meat (pork, beef...).

Demander un bifteck saignant était trop leur demander 74,25 euros à quatre (vin compris) pour avoir du carton sans saveur et laisser 3/4 dans l’assiette . Adresse à éviter.

A very simple setting quality cuisine. the service is very pleasant, speak French and take the time, despite the world, explain the dishes if necessary. the waiter recommended to order only one fish dish for 2 (an excellent bodiao), which was largely enough considering the hearty accompaniment.
The service is reasonably long for Madeira... only one drawback, I proportionally find wines quite expensive for dishes (allow 12/13 euros first bottles); take into account.
In short, a good address, rather typical, which is popular with per many buildings.

We had known 4 years ago when a first trip. Little has changed, always enormous quantities of food and a fish and exceptional meat. The french service is exceptional. Always recommend, even if for lunch you should expect a table
