This museum is worth a visit, if only for Pedro Ribera's Baroque facade. Inside, you will find all the history of Madrid, from its foundation to today with reconstructions, models, drawings, photos, sculptures, porcelain, silverware, fans, furniture, weapons, coins and medals... The urban life of the 18th century is well documented with silverware and all kinds of porcelain. Goya's painting, The Allegory of May 2, 1809, commissioned by Joseph Bonaparte, deserves your full attention.

On y voit des objets en tout genre liés à Madrid : peintures, estampes, des photographies, des sculptures, des porcelaines, de l’orfèvrerie, des meubles etc...
Parmi ces nombreuses pièces, on peut remarquer l’Allégorie de la Ville de Madrid de Francisco de Goya. à noter que l'entrée est gratuite ce qui n'est pas si courrant
