The Swiss Embassy in Madrid carries out a wide range of activities covering all the thematic fields of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Spain. As the official Swiss representation, it represents Swiss interests in politics, economics, finance, law, science, education and culture. Consular services are fully functional and available by appointment. The consular section in Madrid is responsible for persons domiciled in the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Asturias, the Basque Country, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Navarre and La Rioja, as well as the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. The Consulate General in Barcelona is responsible for residents of the Autonomous Communities of Aragon, Murcia, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and Valencia, as well as the Principality of Andorra.
