It's Madrid's biggest bus station, and the hub of the majority of bus companies operating throughout Spain and abroad (Portugal, France, Morocco, etc.). You'll find all the timetables and names of the companies serving your destination on their website. The station has a left-luggage office (6.30 a.m.-midnight), cafeterias, cash dispensers and a police station. Alsa, Socibus and Avanza Bus are the main companies serving the station.

Alsa operates throughout most of Spain, as well as in several Moroccan cities and in several European countries (Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, Luxembourg, Moldavia, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania and Switzerland). In Madrid, there are several buses departing from the main station, Atocha station, Sur station and Barajas airport to twelve Spanish cities, including Barcelona, Huesca, Lleida, Tarragona and Zaragoza.
