CHURCH OF THE VISITATION

In the center, the small Church of the Visitation, Gozo's second oldest chapel, built in 1679 and 1732, boasts some interesting works among its exterior and interior statues and paintings. The one depicting the Virgin Mary and Saint Elizabeth is the work of local artist Francesco Zahra. The church was designed on the model of the Chapel of St. Agnes in Piazza Navona, Rome. Its Baroque structure and concave façade are remarkable.
