Located in a renovated 16th-century townhouse in the heart of this medieval town, the space consists of an entire floor with bedroom and private luxury bathroom, linked together by a staircase hall that leads to the other floors. The bedroom enjoys a high ceiling with timber beams and is tastefully furnished with a super comfy double bed, colonial ceiling fan, original Maltese wooden balcony, and a 1920s Singer sewing machine. Tea & coffee making facilities and fridge are available in the room.

The space

The Blue Balcony Suite has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Located in a beautifully restored 16th century listed townhouse, the space affords a private luxury bedroom with plenty of natural light from a window and a typical Maltese wood-louvered balcony, as well as a private bathroom with shower/water jets, WC, and large wash hand basin on an authentic Victorian dresser table. The Suite has several traditional Maltese architectural features such as timber beams, wooden windows, and wrought iron stair rails. It is exquisitely decorated with bespoke furniture and fittings, original marine-themed ceramic art, and locally sourced soft furnishings.

The Blue Balcony Suite forms part of the Birgu Blue Townhouse Collection. The Birgu Blue Townhouse is a landmark corner palatial residence in the best part of the city, located right next to the Municipality (The historic Knights' Auberge de France) and just off the main square. Private access to the Blue Balcony Suite is from the main door of the house. The Suite occupies the entire 1st floor. You can explore the city on foot easily from the house. There are bars, restuarants, cafes and a pleasant promenade, all within a 200 metre radius of the house.

Other things to note

If you fancy a dip into the sea, a little sandy beach (Rinella beach) is less than 10 mins away on foot. Neighbours here are loud and proud! They are the friendliest people on the planet, but they are also very Mediterranean in their ways and love to talk loudly even on the streets! There is a strong and closely-knit community feel, and guests are made to feel welcome immediately!
