CHAPELLE SAINT-JACQUES DE TRIKOMO

Built around the ^14th century, this former Catholic chapel (Ayos Yakovos Şapeli, Παρεκκλήσιο του Αγίου Ιακώβου/Parekklísio tou Agíou Iakóvou) belonged to the Dominican order. Today, it houses the municipal tourist office. Its elegant dome dominates a tiny rectangular nave. Looted after the 1974 invasion, it lost its frescoes and two of its stolen icons have since been recovered in Switzerland by the Nicosia Byzantine Museum.
