SLOPE RANGE MILI

Its Greek name (Πέντε Μίλι) and English translation (Five Mile Beach) are misleading: this beach is not "five miles" long, but lies 5 miles (about 8 km) west of Kyrenia. With 300 m of fine sand and a beautiful cove with a large rock, it's still the most beautiful on the Kyrenia Riviera. The most famous too. It was here that Turkish soldiers landed on July 20, 1974. The now private beach is part of the Escape Beach Club complex, with deckchairs, a noisy bar, jet-skis and more.
