LEDRA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

Opened in 2023, this small national museum (Τοπικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Λεδρών/Topiko Archaiologiko Mousio Ledron) stands on the edge of the main excavation site of the ancient city-state of Ledra, the forerunner of Nicosia, founded around 1050 BC. A British colonial house houses all the artefacts unearthed on site: Neolithic tools, coins from the Archaic period, remains of Byzantine dwellings and a basilica, and more.
