NICOSIA MARATHON

This 42.195 km international race (Μαραθώνιος της Λευκωσίας/Marathonios tis Lefkosias, Quantum Nicosia Marathon) has been held in South Nicosia since 2010, usually on the second Sunday in December, with around 10,000 runners. Start and finish are at Famagusta Gate. Shorter races are organized in parallel: one mile, 5 km, 7.7 miles, 10 km and half marathon. In addition, another "Nicosia marathon", the Lefkoşa Maratonu, has been held at the end of October, in the northern part of Nicosia, since 2022.
