This confectionery (Λουκούμια Αφροδίτη/Loukoumia Afroditi) is renowned for its recipe for loukoumi geroskipou: the loukoum of Geroskipou, the first sweet shop in the world to be awarded a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), in 2007. Available in orange, mastic and rose flavors, this is the oldest local store, founded in 1895 by Sofoklis Athanasiou. By prior arrangement, you can visit the workshop, set up in 2007 in the industrial zone 1.3 km to the south-east.
