This upper town market enjoys superb views over Kato Paphos and the coast. But since 1974, it's been idling.

This market (Δημοτική Αγορά/Dimotiki Agora) enjoys a beautiful location with plunging views over Kato Paphos and the coast. Located in the former Turkish Cypriot quarter of Mouttalos, it has lost much of its appeal since the forced departure of the Muslim population in 1974. The covered market houses just a few traders, and in the square, small local producers come to sell their harvest every morning (honey, mountain tea, fruit and vegetables, etc.).
