This little cottage that has been open since 1964 is an institution in the area, located on the lakefront in Tahoe City. We come here for a huge brunch with the family or a lunch with friends. The atmosphere is warm and family friendly in this amazing American style wooden decor. Bikes and other artifacts are everywhere, sometimes even falling from the ceiling. Each room represents a part of Lake Tahoe's past; the owner will be happy to give you the history. Traditional American dinner menu with eggs, pancakes, burgers, salads and sandwiches.

My wife and me went to Rosie's for a nice lunch ordered steaks. We ordered medium but that was coming more than well done . The point is the waitress accepted the complain. The owner come out of the kitchen yelling on us for the junk food and telling us in a aggressive form to better leave and not come back again. Is this the new way to do business. This place should to be closed.

No words the owner or manager run after you and cry go where you come from. You can't go with a business like this.

Excellent little diner, and the kitchen works fast!

went here two weeks ago and (noticing the menu is oddly dominated by items high in saturated fat, cholesterol, and salt and sugar heavy) I simply wanted to eat something healthy for a late breakfast or lunch… ideally plant-based, but healthy at a minimum. The waitress said she’d worked there for over 10 years and had never heard anyone ask for that. I said that I assumed she was kidding. She said no, and that not one person had ever asked for plant-based or vegan or veggie meal (obviously a lie).

So shocking that with everything we have learned over the years about the dietary connection to our health, longevity, microbiome, etc, that some restaurants would still center almost their entire menu on items that have been scientifically proven to be incredibly unhealthy and linked to major consequences (atherosclerosis, diabetes, cancers). It is simple to create delicious healthy foods that are also create ‘comfort’ for the diner.
