Brix was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a while… not just in Napa, but in general. Upon arriving for our reservation the hostess was rude, standoffish, and dismissive. When we got to our table, no one came by for almost 20min. A busboy even stopped at one point to ask if we had been helped. Our server was totally unhelpful. I ordered the chicken & it looked (and tasted) like cafeteria food. My husbands meal was also mediocre at best. Between the service, food, and overall experience we couldn’t have been more disappointed.

Appetizer selection is varied and each had a delightfully distinct flavor, crab cakes and mushrooms particularly. Great wine selection. Main courses were delicious. Views you can't beat.

I didn't consider cost/value because it's Napa, inflation is crazy, and you don't come here for a bargain.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Brix. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this restaurant based on my visit.

This restaurant isn't worth your time. The food quality is poor, and the service is slow. I recommend visiting St. Helena or the nearby marketplace for a better experience.

The cheesecake is so creamy and the huckleberry adds such a nice touch. Will definitely come back again! The steak was cooked to perfection! Ate outside and the sun was shining down weather was perfect.

We travelled all the way from San Jose to experience fine dining at Brix, following remarkable reviews of the restaurant and having the option of a vegetarian menu.

Ambience: The ambience of the restaurant is nice and reminds of culinary experience in France amidst vineyards.

Food: Vegetarian Menu was highly disappointing. We checked the menu before we made a booking at the restaurant and were happy with the dishes offered. At arrival, we learnt that one of the dishes was replaced which did not bother us and we were still happy to try it.

For starters we ordered beans Tempura with Mustard sauce and butter lettuce salad with burrata. The Tempura was average and was not evenly coated in batter. The highlight of the dish was only the mustard sauce.

The butter lettuce with burrata had a description that it would contain seared tangerines and have a zesty citrus vinaigrette. The salad leaves were crispy and fresh, burrata tasted really good as well. However, there were only 6 or 7 leaves of lettuce, 3 small pieces of tangerines, few drops of hazelnut and barely any dressing. To us, the salad did not justify the description, as the hero of the dish were supposed to be tangerines and there was no taste of tangerine. Few shavings of horseradish, which did not have any taste as they were too thinly sliced. Apart from understanding that used ingredients had premium quality, I don't know what I ate. Moreover we learnt that not all used vegetables were from their farm, which was one of the highlights for us to visit Brix. To us pricing of the dish was overly exaggerated for what was offered.

For main course we ordered the newly introduced Spimach Gnocci with Goats Cheese and Mushroom Risotto.

Gnocchi with Goats cheese was covered with a thick layer of Cream Sauce. We digged in the sauce and struggled to find Gnocci pieces. The Gnocci was overcooked and melted with the sauce. We were confused whether we were eating vegetables or Gnocci. The bechamel sauce was entirely curdled, possibly due to wrong timing of cheese and lemon while cooking. By the end of the day, the dish was a mere lump of curdled sauce with few pieces of vegetables thrown in with lemon flavour, just nicely presented. At any restaurant, I have never been disappointed with Gnocci more.

The Mushroom risotto with a touch of truffle was decent, but not over the top. Someone who may not like truffle flavour, Brix may not have a single main course vegetarian dish that may please vegetarian taste buds.

From the main course experience we were highly disappointed with the experience and shared it with the staff. We even received a wrong table bill. We politely asked for our bill. The bill was in $$$ and we did not feel it was worth it.
So overall, we may not visit Brix again for vegetarian food.

The food ,service, and atmosphere are excellent. We had sunday brunch here. Steak and eggs for me and my wife ordered fried chicken and eggs. Outstanding! Everything was flavored perfectly.

So we had searched for vegetarian options and this restaurant came up on Google as a place that serves vegetarian options.

We went on a Sunday at 1:45 pm. They were serving brunch. They did not have any vegetarian entree options at all. For vegetarians, please note that you may not want to go on days where there is brunch because there may not be any vegetarian options.

Beautiful views. We ate in the private dining room so a rehearsal dinner. The burger was average but the pasta dish was outstanding. There was a handful of gluten free options l. I had the gluten free chocolate torte and the banana split.

Beautifully appointed interior. We ordered 2 appetizers and a salad for a late lunch ahead of a wine tasting on a weekday. The portions were on the small side. The offerings, though, were very unusual and peaked our interest and tastebuds. The service from
Hostess to servers and bus people was professional and gracious. We were able to grab a quick bite before our scheduled wine tasting. Food flavors =4. Value for money = 3. Garden and interior design of restaurant = 4.5.

El jardín de la parte trasera es muy agradable para tomarse una copa de vino luego de comer, las porciones del menú son bastantes generosas y su preparación tiene muy buena sazón

Oh man, Brix was a somewhat unexpected delight. We got the tempura green beans, Cary’s Mac n Cheese as well as the fried chicken dinner. Honestly the fried chicken was where it’s at, paired with the mashed potatoes which kicked my salivary glands into over drive it was a great intro into the Napa Valley food scene.

Had very high expectations given the prices and reviews. Our group of 6 arrived around 3 in the afternoon mid-week for a late lunch/early dinner to celebrate a birthday (the birthday card from the restaurant was a nice touch). Service was pretty good, but given the emptiness of the restaurant it is hard to judge what the service is like when busy. My favorite dish of the afternoon was the crispy deviled eggs. ???? The entire table loved them, even one who doesn't generally like deviled eggs. Could have eaten many of these! The issues came with the entrees. The French dip sandwich had limited meat that wasn't particularly lean, all on a fairly greasy roll. Ended up skipping most of the bread for a bite of meat. The fried chicken sandwich is brined, which results in chicken that appears very under cooked. We had the chef confirm it was cooked and safe to eat, but the presentation makes it hard to enjoy. Too much breading, not much meat and the same greasy roll as the French dip. The gnocchi was enjoyed as was the short rib ravioli. Fries were pretty darn tasty and the specialty cocktails were very good. The lunch was around $450, not including gratuity, so we expected more. The venue is amazing - but next time we come it will be to enjoy a cocktail and appetizers only.

Where do I start. The restaurant is stunning with a great views and selections of wine but my halibut came out raw. When the manager came out to give new dish he seemed to have a attitude about the situation, almost as if he threw it on the table and said is there anything else I can get you in a rude arrogant tone. It's very sad that this is who's In charge here, I would expect to get my meal compted but this wasnt the case unfortunately. My wife and I had one of our honeymoon dinners ruined. Thanks Brix we will not be returning!
