We stayed in February and really enjoyed our stay.
The room. We stayed in the ElMarie. This was a charming room on the first floor with a window bench for reading. Room was nice and had a small fridge. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small with the toilet a little snug against the shower for a bigger guy like me but fine. The only drawback for some may be for this room is near the back entrance and can be noisy when others allow the door to slam and talk loudly going by. This is a B&B and walls are a little thin. It wasn't a lot or late but did happen.
Amenities. This place was great. The breakfast was different each morning and provided a variety of options. There was an egg option each day. Potatoes or pancakes on different days. eggs benedict another. There was hand made mucil and oatmeal, fruit, and breakfast cake, sourdough and wheat bread. Also bagels.
In the evening there was the wine and cheese but also salami with crackers. For those not into wine, there is mineral waters, coke, and diet coke available as well. These are available all day in the dining are.
If you have dietary issues. Do not be afraid to speak to the staff, my wife has many issues and the chef made her an egg white scramble for breakfast and was going to go out of her way to come up with other options as well for our next mornings.
Lis and staff are great! This was our first stay, but will not be our last.

Lovely hotel with very welcoming staff. Fantastic location with clean and stylish rooms. Really enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese.

Cozy, lovely place. I enjoyed my stay there a lot. Well curated design/materials in the rooms and public area, I liked the attention to detail. Furniture and rooms are in very good condition, beds are comfortable. The building is quite old and you hear a lot what is going on but I did not feel bothered.
Povides a good complimentary breakfast with various options. Some may find it limited but very good quality and selection for the size of the venue (I think 22 rooms). Personnel was friendly and caring. Cheese and whine are also complimentary in the afternoon (4pm-6pm) with cake/cookies as sweet options. I do not drink alcohol therefore I cannot assess what was presented but the food selection was delicious.
Free parking was available from 6pm-9am directly at the venue. It is located in downtown Pacific Grove, a lot of dining options or shops are conveniently located nearby. Still very quiet area, though. I was there during the weekend and there was music playing from the nearby restaurants in the evening which may be bothersome to some (was reduced late evening) - I didn't mind it that much. Nearby (approx 5-10min walk) is a coastal walkway where you can spot otters eating/cracking clams and seals swimming directly along the beautiful coast. I enjoyed my time at the Monterey Peninsula a lot and this place had it's fair share :)

Simply fantastic, great attention to detail perfect

What an amazing place. Perfect for a short getaway. The location is perfect in downtown Pacific Grove. It is next to the ocean and a 25min walk to Canary Row. The Inn is really nice with a fireplace in the room. Even the soaps they provide in the shower smell great. I would definitely come here again.

Had a great one night stay at the Gosby House! The staff was wonderful and helped us to make the most out of the short stop. Our room was beautiful and we felt very comfortable.
Looking forward to coming back for longer next time.

The old house is nice. Nice wine and cheese in evenings. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom tiny and old but functional. Breakfast was delicious, staff is friendly. Our visit was in October when a very abnormal heat wave hit, when we arrived we saw the blinds open, windows wide open, and only provided a 5 inch fan to cool off, would of liked to be welcomed with a cooler room or bigger fan.

Overall it was clean.

Wir haben eine Nacht auf unserer Durchreise im Gosby House Inn verbracht und waren begeistert! Das Haus ist klein, sehr stilvoll und gemütlich. Wir bekamen ein gratis Upgrade. Das Zimmer war perfekt. Das Personal Sehr freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wurde aus unserer Sicht übertroffen. Im Preis inbegriffen ist am Abend ein Glas Wein mit Snacks und am Morgen Frühstück. Für physisch beeinträchtigte Menschen ist es jedoch nicht geeignet, da es kein Aufzug gibt, dies hat uns jedoch nicht gestört.

Lovely inn in Pacific Grove. Very charming. Always available staff. Good breakfast. Also nice for hanging in the living room. We also could borrow some bikes to ride along the scenic coast.

Loud hotel.
Our room was situated right next to the kitchen and front desk. You can HEAR EVERYTHING. Dished banging, loud front desk people talking. The hallway echoes so it gets extremely loud in the room. The bathroom fixtures are old.

Beautiful place to stay. Warm welcome, superb included breakfast, cosy room. It’s an old house, so, don’t expect good sound insulation.

We just stayed here for 2 nights and loved it!! Monterey and the surrounding area is super nice with so much to see. Gosby House Inn was the perfect base to explore it from! Staff is really kind. We stayed in room 20 Everett which was spatious yet cozy, beautifully designed. Breakfast is sooo yummy! And we also loved the snacks & wine in the afternoon. Thank you so much for having us and making this such a wonderful experience!

Great spot in Monterey! They recently revamped the interior. It is nice and a few things that needed updates got them (bathrooms, doors, etc). Kinda miss the granny-chic vibes that it used to have though. It's all modern monochrome palettes now. Still a cozy spot, okay price, and friendly staff. Will continue to stay here.

Nice place to stay. Located well within city and good for walking. Terrible parking situation.
