Wonderful hotel with great staff. A very short (about one to two minute) walk to ferry which takes you to the Ferry Station on Embarcadero in SF

Three stars solely for kind staff. The rest was a nightmare. Cute little hotel! It is secure so no one can wander through if they’re not a guest. Good views. The customer service was phenomenal! They don’t have microwaves but will bring you one if you ask.

If you’re booking via Aadvantage Hotels (American Airlines’ hotel group), proceed with caution as American will have you prepay in full for a room, but not communicate to the hotel staff what you paid for. I was supposed to have a room with a balcony and when I arrived, no balconies were available and I was actually charged more for a lesser room (water view). It wasn’t the staff’s fault, as I said it’s a lack of care and concern from AA. However, I incurred over $200 in additional charges due to the lack of care and concern from both HYATT/JDV and American Airlines Hotels.

I also prepaid for breakfast, and was charged for it. This hotel, while nice folks, will try to scam you as you see in other reviews. Proceed with caution.

Edited to add: the staff at this hotel blatantly LIED to Aadvatage Hotels and said my breakfast that was prepaid for was not breakfast and was instead, food and drinks at the bar. I spoke to a manager and it was corrected. But just be cautious when booking.

Rooms are nice but there's little to no insulation or soundproofing so you can hear what's happening in the rooms next to you (both parties finished satisfied ????)

If you purchased through an online third party the hotel will charge you again on “accident” upon checkout and won’t refund your money for 3-5 business days.

Amazing boutique style hotel with amazing city and marina views. Excellent and accommodating staff.

During my stay, I encountered a minor issue with my room, but Alex the manager handled it with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. Not only did they promptly address the issue, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my stay.

Alex as well as the rest of his staff demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills and genuine care for the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. Their attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service truly set them apart.

I look forward to returning to this hotel in the future and experiencing the unparalleled hospitality that Alex and their team provide.

I’m genuinely perplexed how this hotel has such positive reviews. When I walked into the lobby, I was immediately greeted by a large swarm of flies circling the doorway and it only got worse from there. Upon opening the room, I found it smelling musty and gross and nothing has helped it smell better. Although there are plugs on the lights by the bed, none of them work and I was stuck using this absolutely revolting power strip under the bed. What are all those stains? There were also urine stains on the back of the toilet seat. This is one of the most disgusting places I’ve stayed in quite awhile

Excellent service from the moment we stepped out of the car! Such a cute hotel with vintage touches and feels cozy. Had a nice view that we didn’t get to enjoy since we arrived late and left for an early flight but will definitely consider staying here when we’re back in the future.

Best hotel in the 510! My wife and I enjoy staying here every time we come into town. We recently stayed here and was immediately met with great service from Alex. I am a Hyatt employee but I never ask for any special privileges but he made sure to make us feel special by making sure we were comfortable in our room and even gave us a balcony view! We travel alot around to different hotels but this by far is one of our favorites. Thank you to the staff for being great hosts for my family.

Had a great room with a water facing balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was well laid out and everything they said it would be. Loved this spot.

The location is great, right in Jack London Square and right next to the ferry to San Francisco but it's, I'm guessing, an '80s or '90s hotel and it's showing its age a bit. The HVAC is loud and clunky and the rooms and hallways seem a bit frayed at the edges. The staff is super nice and helpful, though.
