HECTORS DOLPHIN
Hector's dolphins, among the smallest and rarest in the world, are endemic to New Zealand and in danger of extinction. Swimming near them is a real privilege! Porpoise Bay is a nursery. Along with Curio Bay, these long sandy beaches are among the very few places where dolphins come so close to shore. A pod of dolphins stays here from November to May. Any attempt to force them to approach risks driving them away. So let them interact with you if they wish... and let the magic happen. An unforgettable experience!
