Plan your visit to Fiordland in advance by booking this Great Walk, accessible from the Divide Shelter or the Routeburn Shelter. Don't forget to book a shuttle for your return journey (several transport operators, including tracknet). The view and the swim at Lake Mackenzie are well worth the effort! Alternatives are available to get around the shuttle hassle: you can make the round trip from The Divide to Conical Hill and back in one day, and on another day hike from Routeburn Shelter to Harris Saddle Shelter.
