The historic Cadbury chocolate factory in the heart of the city closed to centralize production in Australia. The Ocho brand, founded in 2013, joined forces with other investors to take over the site in 2017. You can visit the boutique, as well as take a guided tour from a factory observation room, animated dynamically by the guides. You can sample a wide range of chocolates. The company uses cocoa beans sourced directly from farmers in the Pacific Islands, in an ethical and sustainable approach.

Originality
The reception was very good and very friendly guide, originally from Dunedin, so ready to meet many of our questions. It has very well the history of Cadbury. We could try some chocolate (yum). Unfortunately we do not visit the factory (but it is well mentioned before the purchase of tickets) but the tower is very well organised and very explanatory.

Nous l'avons visité le jour de la Jaffa Race (que je conseille à voir si vous en avez l'occasion) donc nous avons eu droit à quelques suppléments de chocolats lors de la visite, mais dans l'ensemble nous nous attendions à quelque chose de plus exceptionnel. Notamment déçu de la fontaine à chocolat qu'ils annoncent comme la chose à voir dans l'usine.

Moi qui le faisait une fete de visiter l'usine, j étais bien déçue...circuit tres encadre, aucune liberté, c est un peu la prison...en plus, à partir de 15h l activité de l'usine s arrête mais la visite à quand même lieu...point+ : distribution de chocolats sur le parcours
