Dolphin Encounter is an unforgettable experience: swim alongside dusky dolphins in their natural environment, or observe them from the boat. These dolphins, which are present all year round, often live in large groups and offer a fascinating spectacle. The excursion, led by passionate guides, is a unique marine adventure, rich in emotion, beauty and magical encounters. An introductory video precedes the 4-hour excursion, and all equipment is provided (wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel). Remember to book in advance! ! !

Swim with dolphins ($240 adult, $225 child). Dolphin watching ($120 adult, $80 child). Departures 5:30 am, 8:30 am, 10 am and 12:30 pm, depending on season.
Owner's Message
These vast offshore canyons, with their nutrient-rich waters, are responsible for the variety of marine life off Kaikoura. A journey time of just fifteen minutes by boat is needed to start watching the pelagic birds, including twelve species of albatross, penguins, gannets, jaegers, shearwaters, petrels and terns.

You have to keep in mind that there is no guarantee that dolphins will come up to you or engage with you. These are wild animals.
The staff was so nice and welcoming and well informed about the different species.
The only negative thing was that besides the toilet there is no “privat” changing room or whatever. Other than that just an amazing experience
