KARAKA POINT

Located some twenty minutes northeast of Picton, the one-kilometer walk to Karaka Point offers superb hilltop views. With a difference in altitude of 80 metres, the walk is very easy and takes around a quarter of an hour round trip from the parking lot where the trailhead is located. Along the way, you can see a historic Maori pa site. If you have time, there are several other trails offering panoramic views of Queen Charlotte Sound and Port Underwood.
