ARATOI WAIRARAPA MUSEUM OF ART & HISTORY

Small, high-quality art museum presenting the work of national and international artists. Exhibitions change regularly and the program can be consulted online. The museum celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019 and hosts 25 to 30 exhibitions each year. It all began when local residents decided to buy a work from artist Barbara Hepworth as a sign of their desire to promote art. This was the museum's first piece and the beginning of the adventure.
