Superb: covering an area of 25 hectares, the botanical gardens include themed gardens such as the Lady Norwood Rose Garden, a Begonia House (greenhouse), native forests and historic conifers, and many other flower beds and sculptures. You can visit the Treehouse Visitor Centre & boutique. In January, with the Gardens Magic, the gardens light up and host free evening concerts. At the foot of the gardens, the old Bolton Street Cemetery is well worth a visit. For a view of the stars, visit the Carter Observatory.
