MILL CREEK BIRD PARK AND ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS

A family outing par excellence, this wildlife park, just ten minutes from Whitianga, is home to a wide variety of specimens, both flying and land-based. No fewer than four hundred birds of forty-five different varieties are present here, and there's even an animal rescue center. There's also a playground and picnic area, and it's also possible to stay on site on camping pitches or in bungalows.
