RAGLAN AND DISTRICT MUSEUM

This small museum of Whaingaroa (the Maori name for the town of Raglan) is located on the first floor of the I-Site, and tells the story of the town and its region through well-designed and informative exhibits. Its rural and urban past is recounted, particularly since the beginning of the ^20th century, and surfing is not forgotten. The First World War and endemic birds also receive special attention. The staff are both fascinating and welcoming.
