WAIKOTO HOSPITAL

Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital located in Hamilton. It provides specialist and emergency health care for the Midlands and Waikato region, and receives referrals from other hospitals in the area. Visitors can obtain information and directions at the inquiry desks located near the Emergency Department and on Level 1 of the Meade Clinical Centre (MCC). There's also a space called Hauora ihub, which offers free health and wellness services using a kaupapa Māori approach. Services include health screenings, smoking cessation support, mental health and wellness services, childhood vaccinations, hepatitis C testing and more. The hospital also has cafés, gift stores, an ATM, a chapel, free Wi-Fi access and many other services and facilities.
