The church, whose origins were back in the late xie century, is dedicated to Saint Marcellin. He was apparently the third bishop of the Puy-en-Velay. In the xivth century, Monistrol was the second city of the Diocese when his church was elevated to a collegiate rank with a chapter of thirteen cannon. The building's choir is Romanesque style, the bell tower overlooking the seventeenth century. The downsides were demolished during the Revolution while the church was a halle. They were rebuilt at the beginning of the nineteenth century and are illuminated by six stained glass stained glass stained glass stained glass, masterpiece of master Lyrelon's masterpiece dating back approximately 1865.
