Built in 1842, this church was part of one of the largest Catholic missions in the Western Pacific. It was here that religious texts were translated and Maori books printed for the local population. The guided tour details the history of the French expatriates who lived here. The surrounding gardens offer lovely views over the Bay of Islands. Guided tours at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm. French Coffee House Café open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
