On the way to Whangarei Heads, the Parua Bay Tavern is a seafront pub nestling in the bay of the same name. Pool tables, table soccer and outdoor tables by the water make it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink. The pizzas are quite famous. The kitchen offers pub fare: burgers, salads, fish & chips. Some evenings are themed, such as quiz nights or karaoke nights. Typically "kiwi", this tavern is a place not to be missed if you're passing through the area.
