The visit retraces the history of the country through its key events. The world of the Maoris is particularly detailed, and a meeting house or a canoe are to be seen. The whole of Oceania and its peoples is also the subject of an exhibition. The geology, the fauna and the flora of the country have also their part dedicated. On the War Memorial, on the last level, the place of the New Zealand army in the world conflicts is explained and a monument to the dead is present.

J'ai eu la chance d'y travailler pendant deux semaines et donc d'accéder au musée gratuitement ! Il est très grand et c'est un véritable ravissement pour les yeux, car les collections sont géniales et variées. Bon petit restaurant (un peu cher) et beau parc avec une serre (plantes tropicales).
Do not leave, without visiting this museum. It is a melting pot of the history of the New Zealand and you will learn there many things. It is an amazement for the eyes.
