Three kilometres after Hawzen, on the road to Mekab, this lodge founded by an Italian couple is certainly one of the most beautiful addresses in Ethiopia. It enjoys a breathtaking view of the Gueralta Mountains with their unique shape that evokes the Grand Canyon. The bungalows and stone huts respect the traditional architecture and use the same materials as the Tiger farmers' houses (wood, straw roof) and everything has been designed with the environment in mind. The decoration is simple but chosen with taste. It is the ideal place to visit the churches of Tigray. The restaurant offers lunch, picnic and dinner packages. The tasty cuisine, with Italian influences, uses fresh ingredients produced by local populations. A fine selection of Italian wines to water the whole thing. Salons with beautiful book books (some in French) on the churches of Tigray, fascinating. It is very difficult to leave this place because it feels so good.
