This festival (Gyvosios archeologijos dienos Kernavėje), which takes place in the Kernave Cultural Park, is dedicated to the commemoration of a central event for the Lithuanian state: the coronation of Mindaugas. On this occasion, in the hills of Kernave, medieval Lithuania comes alive with music and dance, cuisine and medieval crafts. An extremely well-designed re-enactment in the enchanting surroundings of Kernave. The place organizes many other exciting events in the summer.
