TIPITINA’S

Tipitina's - or Tip's as the locals call it - was created in the 1970s by a group of local musicians. This venue is also a mythical place. Its godfather is the immortal blues-rock pianist Henry Roeland Byrd, better known as Professor Longhair. Touch his bust at the entrance, it brings good luck. It was then the headquarters of the Neville Brothers for many years. The music usually starts between 8 and 10 pm. Note that many shows are presented free of charge.
