Canal Street Bed & Breakfast, with a veranda, offering a variety of contemporary rooms and suites
Established in a historic 1912 mansion in Mid-City, this bed & breakfast is remarkably beautiful. Abundant moldings, hardwood floors, fireplaces and superb furnishings make this an exceptional place. Eleven rooms and suites are available to guests, all different, quite contemporary and equipped with high-end amenities. It is also possible to rent the entire place for groups and special events. As a bonus, guests have access to a large courtyard with garden furniture, a veranda and a lounge.

Canal Street In is a lovely quiet haven in the hustle and bustle of New Orleans. The rooms are extremely well appointed, clean and comfortable. The proprietors cook a different delicious hot breakfast each morning to start your day off right, and you can hop on the street car right out front. The building itself is so pretty, a restored historic home. I can’t say enough good things! This is where we will stay in NOLA from now on!

This place was fantastic. This was my wife and I's first time in New Orleans and we were so glad we stayed there. The room was great, the hospitality was top notch, and the food was amazing. I will definitely come back. If you plan on staying at the Inn, definitely check out Katie's and many of the other great restaurants conveniently located close to the Inn!

Prime location just outside of the bustling French Quarter/Warehouse district with simple access to these areas via streetcar or public bike shares that can be accessed a short distance up the road at Walgreens (currently).
The hostess was super accommodating and professional; you can tell she cares about your experience at the inn just as much as her and her staff care about the immaculate condition of the inn itself. The building is gorgeous and tastefully decorated with several original pieces you could get lost in (Mariposa tree with daisies in the dining room is ????????). There are games, a selection of books by local authors or New Orleans specific lore and history; there is a beautiful garden to relax in; ample parking; a lounge area upstairs and a small gym in the basement level. Breakfasts are excellent (all start with a fruit parfait and self served coffee, water or juice: we had a Sunday breakfast with french toast, bacon and mimosas, and a toast with garlic aioli, tomato, avocado and bacon flat faced sandwich) and set you off on the right foot for the day. When we couldn't make it to breakfast one morning, a personalized bagged breakfast was made for us to take with for the day.
Overall, finding a place to stay in New Orleans was the hardest part of booking the trip in Louisiana. There is a lot of noise out there, but we're lucky and thankful to have landed on this place to stay.
Til next time!

We booked about one year in advance and throughout that time had some communication issues with payment details and rehearsal dinner organization. Everything in the end worked out, but sometimes promptness in communication was what was lacking. It would have been a bit easier if we lived in New Orleans to straighten out details in person prior to arrival.
My husband and I definitely recommend The Canal St Inn for any wedding group. 10/10 recommend staying in the apartment suite. It was the perfect place for me and the bridesmaids to get ready while the groomsmen got ready separately in the Inn. Also would recommend for any kind of stay in NOLA. Thank you again Canal St Inn!
