GIARDINO BELLINI
To the north of Piazza Dante, take via Clementi on the right, then via Maddalena (the first left) that extends La street. At the beginning of this one is the entrance of the garden Bellini, the main park of the city, very pleasant with a beautiful range of plants and 2 booths located in height.
After crossing the park, it can be pointed out, in the north, in via Margherita and take right to arrive in the main artery of Catania: via Etnea. This street starts in the straight line of Piazza Duomo in the south, rises to Piazza Gioieni about 3 km, and continues by Nicolesi until the Cantoniera of Etna, at 1 881 m altitude. It was on this street that at the beginning of the century, intellectuals gave themselves appointments in places like the Caffè delle Scapigliatura, Bar dei Professori or the Bar Away, now the Corner store. It is known as the "Catania Salon".
Down this main street, we arrive on the dominated Piazza Stesicoro, left in descending, by a monument of the th century dedicated to Vicenzo Bellini, directed by G. Monteverde.
