Idyllic peaceful place to stay in SE Sicily. Helpful staff and beautiful surroundings. Tapas meals in the evening sitting on the terrace were ideal after a day out. The pool was beautifully situated. Clean and stylish. Highly recommend

The place is stunning and the breakfast is delicious. But I had a big disappointment with their hospitality. Their dog NinoNino, which is an old dog, bit my arm. The bite was small but still bleed and hurt, accidents happen and I understand that. But three things really disappointed. First, I was not warned to not pet the dog, neither was told it was the first time he did it - and he is always there walking freely. Second, the owners are at the property all the time and never apologised, checked on me or said a word. Third, while me and my partner sat outside after the situation and he was clearly trying to calm me down and google the procedure after dog bites in italy, someone came and offered us a beverage, suggesting a wine, in a gesture that seemed like an apology or a way to comfort us. But much to our surprise we were charged for that wine at check out. It is not about the money, it is just that we expected more from their hospitality. It was disappointing.

La Casa di Melo est un lieu bucolique et enchanteur. Vous y passerez un moment hors du temps entouré d'oliviers et d'agrumes. Les chambres sont confortables et bien équipées. L'équipe de l'hôtel est formidable, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement !

Wir haben als Paar eine Woche Anfang Juni an diesem wundervollen Ort verbracht. Es ist eine super schöne, ruhige Oase mitten zwischen den eigenen Oliven- und Zitronenhainen, sowie weiteren Feldern auf denen alles mögliche in Bio-Qualität angebaut wird. Die Köstlichkeiten darf Mensch dann zum Frühstück (zB als Obstsalat) oder zum Dinner in einem 4 Gänge Menü (welches täglich wechselt) genießen. Frisch vom Feld direkt auf den Tisch, besser geht es nicht :)
Der Service stand dem hohen Standard der Lebensmittel in nichts nach und wurde mit viel Hingabe gelebt. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit sehr wohl gefühlt und uns wurde täglich ein Lächeln ins Gesicht gezaubert, wenn wir morgens zum Frühstück mit bester Laune begrüßt wurden oder wir Abends zum Dinner zu jedem Gericht ein kleines bisschen sizilianische Geschichte erfahren haben. Die Weinauswahl war ebenfalls großartig und zu jedem Menü würde uns etwas passendes empfohlen. Ein kühler Wein ließ sich auch dem schönen Pool mit toller Aussicht ins Grüne (und Sonnenuntergang am Abend) genießen.
Nicht zu vergessen die beiden Hofhunde, die ebenfalls auf dem Gelände wohnen, sich ab und an eine Streicheleinheit abholen und auch Mal eine Zitrone als Spielball benutzen. <3
Rundum kann ich einen Aufenthalt im La Casa Di Melo nur empfehlen!
