This church is typical of traditional Rhineland construction
Construction of Rosheim's Saints-Pierre-et-Paul church began in 1150, and the Romanesque structure is typical of traditional Rhenish construction. The nave is encircled by two aisles and crossed by a transept, creating a large Latin cross that supports the octagonal bell tower, said to have been added after the rest of the church had been built. The exterior and interior decorations are elaborate, with surprising sculptures in the round.
